Elixir, Phoenix, Ubuntu VMs and non-SMP VMAborted errors

If you're playing with Elixir and Phoenix in a VM and you find yourself getting peculiar errors when doing sqlite database inserts like this:

enif_send: env==NULL on non-SMP VMAborted

Make sure your VM has more than one CPU
